BEAR CLAW DESIGNS originated in Franklin Lakes NJ in 2015 while Joseph Vitale MD created outdoor furniture from fallen trees and stumps out of his garage. He started off selling to friends and family in Northern NJ and now ships all over the country to locations in California, Florida, Texas, Arizona and Tennessee. He just started international shipment to Japan. Typically he constructs rustic live edge furniture and housewares such as coffee tables, end tables, consult tables, desks, benches, trays, cutting boards, charcuterie boards, counters, bar tops, bars, watch boxes, dog bowl stands, garden boxes, plant stands, stools, and chairs. Each hand-made piece is a work of art and can be custom made to fit your home. Vitale is always working on mastering his craft and plans to explore working with epoxy to make large epoxy live edge river tables.

The four pedestals in the sculpture studio were designed especially for Canopy Hotel Jersey City. The industrial concept behind the design was inspired by a warehouse aesthetic. Each piece was fabricated with a raw distressed finish to compliment the modern furniture choices throughout the hotel.
