PANEPINTO GALLERIES, in collaboration with SPEAR STREET CAPITAL, presents THROUGH THE EYES OF AN ARTIST highlighting artwork by 56 artists from Jersey City, Hoboken, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island & the Bronx. The more than 70 extraordinary works of art showcased in this group exhibition explore the theme of an artist’s perception of contemporary life.
OPEN WEEKLY: Monday thru Friday, 9am - 6pm. Additionally available by appointment & private events. 70 Hudson Street, Jersey City, NJ
The intimate subject matter – through the eyes of an artist – articulates a narrative on the world we live in today as seen through an artist’s eye. This eclectic body of work creates a meaningful experience to visitors, comprised of a range of mediums from figurative oil paintings to abstract acrylics, to works on paper, photography, and mixed media sculpture.
Weaving together the delicate details of Dina Brodsky drawings with hard-lined geometric compositions by Ryan Roa, interspersed with the fascinating life-like sculptures of Will Kurtz, realist paintings by Peter Drake, and then delving into the abstract world of Stephen Cimini, these images (and more) cast a fascinating chronicle of the artist’s interpretation of life as we know it. These are just a few of the highlights included in this must-see exhibition which runs from October 14, 2017 through May 1, 2018. The show also illustrates the vast diversity of the art world today. Turning each corner to reveal a new world, the design of the venue enables Panepinto Galleries to display works by this diverse group of artists.
