GLENN GARVER is an abstract painter who works intuitively, creating wild abstract paintings that vibrate with bright sweeps of color and thought-filled chaos. He experiments with textures, colors and materials while allowing viewers a glimpse into his personal reflections. His work is a celebration of the present - always new and fresh, a visual chorus to please the eye. He is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City and lives in Jersey City, NJ for over 20 years. He has shown his work both internationally and nationally. Internationally Garver has been part of a show titled “Ku-Mold” that exhibited work in Rotterdam, Netherlands; at the Jan Cole Gallery in Gent, Belgium; and at the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey. Garver also participated in a show in Tennessee title “Memphis Social” where he created a project-based community piece and was part of a dynamic contemporary installation title “East Fresco” at the Hatchery in Badger, California. More locally, Garver exhibited at the Ground Floor Gallery in Brooklyn, at several of Panepinto Galleries exhibitions in Jersey City, had a solo show at Hamilton Square in Jersey City and exhibited at La Mamma La Galleria in New York.

This piece was completed after numerous months of experimental work on paper. Garver was throwing himself off balance with dimensions he rarely works with and found materials, hoping to unearth something new. He believes this painting is a fulfillment of that endeavor.”
